Knowledge Management and Information System (KMIS) is developed under FIP-Project 2 which will store the relevant data and information and make them accessible to all KPHs in a user-friendly format and at low cost. The component will also assist with capacity building of KPH staff and other relevant stakeholders with a focus on key topics for KPH operationalization and uses of the KMIS. It will also create a platform for showcasing successful and effective and innovative practices for operationalizing KPHs.

Knowledge Management and Information System (KMIS) will bring together all the relevant information and data platforms of relevance to KPH within MOEF. It will also serve as the basis for accessing e-modules for training on issues pertinent to KPHs, featuring innovative approaches and tools for forest management, participatory land use and forest management planning, revenue generation, formation of partnerships, and more. The KMIS will also serve as a portal for accessing information useful for KPHs and community partnerships, including marketing opportunities, opportunities for technical assistance, and more. The KMIS will assist to deliver the knowledge sharing strategy for KPHs.
